The first, and probably the biggest, was my Mom and Dad's move to the Colorado Springs area right after Christmas. It has been a bit of emotional time for all of us, and it's quite an adjustment, as the trip to see them will not be a mere two hours now, but twelve. But...that said, we are looking forward to maybe a ski trip in the future with the kids! This pic was taken a few days before they left - my two beautiful mommas together.
Thanksgiving! We visited Nana and Grandpa for Thanksgiving for one of the last times in their Midland home.
Brookelynn's first piano recital was in December! She played "Jolly Old St. Nicholas," and she did it wonderfully!
Snow! We got snow in November!
The Reed family came to visit us! I have a good friend from college who's kiddos are almost the exact same age as ours! Jenna (second from the right, holding Eli, on the end) is just two weeks older than Kaleb! Eli is three like Jared, and Lily is five. (She and Brookelynn are the farthest apart, as Brookelynn just turned seven. But you'd never know it, because they got along really well!)
They got to meet some of the Bradberry bunch!
Christmas picture on the porch...just because.
This was one of the Thanksgiving pics at Mom and Dad's before they moved.
Isaac (oldest Bradberry!) and Brookelynn. We spend Christmas at Oma's.
David and Kaleb are close in age - David is nine, and Kaleb is eight. They are best.buddies.
She is so excited around presents!

Us on Christmas morning.
Jared is doing his own "school" these days with Mommy, which basically just means I play with him in the morning before I do school with the others. But he refers to it as his "school," and this particular day we learned about being a fireman.
Brookelynn and Justin have birthdays that are just a week apart, so we celebrated together this year, and Justin, being the good sport he is, agreed to a unicorn party. ;) He did, however, get a cobbler.
It's been a good winter. We've been doing the Abeka homeschool curriculum, and, although it's intense at times (lots of work!), it's been good, and I feel as though my children are learning exactly what they need to be right now. It's a bit of an accelerated curriculum, so Brookelynn is not doing ALL of it, since she's really in first grade. But next year she will definitely have a head start.
Jared plays with me in the morning and does Reading Eggs (a learning program on the computer). Next year, we may venture into new territory with him, though. He has a very, very driven personality, and I think he would benefit from being in an environment with more children his age. So he will probably go to Caterpillar Corner, a little preschool here in Snyder with a good reputation. It would just be part time. I'm a bit excited about it, but a bit nervous too. Hopefully, after more prayer, and a bit more time, we will get more used to the idea of a child being away from home a bit during the week. After all, we've never sent any of our children to a public school yet. But I am not against the idea.
The other two will probably stay at home again next year. But - we shall see how it all plays out!
We are still leading worship at our church and we love that. They have just started small groups again after a bit of a break, and we will be a part of that too.
Justin is loving his job, still. He has been at Kinder Morgan for a few years, and it's been a really good fit for him and for our family.
Guess that's about all for now. Looking forward to the changing of the seasons...I am ready for the warm weather!
Blessings to you and yours,
Amber
