Seven months with our little man

a

l

It's been seven months baby.
Wow.
I remember it like it was just yesterday when I was feeding you for the first time.

You have grown sooo much and you are doing so many fun things these days. It's amazing how fast you've gotten bigger.

We went through a bit of a rough time there when you didn't get enough to eat, and you couldn't keep things down long enough to get nutrients. Momma was learning so much in such a short time!

But we learned, and we grew...and now you are becoming more and more you!

These days you love to sit up. You don't like to be laying down for long - you love being up and about. You love to play in your exersaucer, jumping up and down, and turning in it, and and it's basically your favorite toy you have right now. Momma loves to watch you play in there while blowing lots and lots of raspberries and drooling!

You talk too. You say "Ahh," "Agoo," "Dada," "Mama," and a lot of "Mmmm..." But blowing raspberries tends to be your favorite thing right now. You blow lots of spit when you do it! You also love to squeal a lot when you're playing by yourself!

You love to kick and grin big when someone comes to see you, and I think you're going to love people. You are also sad when other babies cry...you don't cry with them but you are sure worried about them when you see them sad!

One thing that's funny is that you don't like to eat solid food yet...you prefer to eat your bib! But we are working on it....We have tried bananas, peas, squash, raspberries, grapes, carrots, sweet potatoes...and rice cereal. But your bottle has become your best friend. Hehe. Momma might regret that later...But you do like ice cream. Lol. I understand. I wish everything tasted like ice cream too.

There's so much to learn, but we have so much fun doing it right now. Momma loves to read to you from different books, and your little blue bible. You like to pat the book when I read and it's cute.

You love the outdoors too. We have gone to the park a few times, and we go on walks outside quite often and you hang out in the Baby Bjorn. You love to look around and blow raspberries while we do it.

Looking forward to the future, little one, and everything else you have to learn. There is so much!

On eating and sleeping...

Kaleb did not get the memo..Hehe. :)
K has decided that his bib tastes better than anything else he's eaten so far. In fact, it's the only thing he'll eat besides milk from a bottle. I am now reading "On Becoming Baby Wise," as advised by a good friend, and maybe we can find a way to get him to eat his veggies! Lol. Starting young...

Just bragging...

My husband is the best.

Besides being the sexiest man alive (smile) he brightens my days. :)

Yesterday we had a really good day.

We went to Lubbock, mainly to hit Mardel because we love the store.

Afterward, we plugged a restaurant into our GPS, only to find that it took us to the wrong place, but it was in my favor. We ended up at Babies R Us, which happens to be one of my favorite places to go now. :)

I said, "Hmm...this is not a coincidence..." while hinting around that we should definitely go there.

We decided to eat first, though, so we went to the Cattle Baron, which was really good. I have never been before. The salad bar there was amazing, with french onion soup, and just about every type of salad you could ever want. Kaleb entertained all of the tables around us with his excessive raspberry blowing. Indeed a good time was had by all. :)

Afterward, we went to Babies R Us, and we got several 6-9 month outfits for our boy, who is growing like a weed these days. Justin also let me buy several toys for him, which, if you know me, you know was sweet because I buy Kaleb toys like every week. :) These were special ones though - they have lots of bells and whistles on them..literally. (I can make an excuse for every toy I find...)

Then later we went for ice cream, which is another one of my favorites..I am an ice cream freak. I love it.

It was a good day, and I am so thankful for a husband who lets me stay at home with my child while he works, and then takes us out and spoils us.

I could not ask for anything more! :)
